From sweet drinks to out-of-the-box pies, find the best peach treats in the region at these establishments.

With the arrival of National Peach Month, it’s officially peach season. You can expect to find juicy, delicious peaches everywhere you look this time of year. While peaches alone make a great snack, to experience them in all their glory, check out all the different peach creations local restaurants and farms are whipping up this month. Peaches are a favorite ingredient in cobblers, pies, and ice creams, so for all dessert lovers, take this month to indulge in some peachy delights. Here’s where you can satisfy your peach tooth this August.

If you want to try as many peach desserts as possible, check out Great Country Farms Peach Fuzztival, an annual event featuring two whole weekends of peachy celebrations. Peach slushies and peach ice cream are two of the signature peach treats that will be available. Wash all those desserts down with a glass of peach cider, crafted from apples and peaches to create a light and bubbly refreshment. If you still haven’t had enough peachy goodness, you can even participate in the peach-eating contest to gobble up loads of the real deal. August 6, 7, 13, & 14, starting at 10 a.m.; 34345 Snickersville Tpk., Bluemont

The most classic peach dish of all is a peach cobbler. Fresh, in-season peaches will only enhance the enjoyment of this tried-and-true dessert. Try the peach cobbler at Jukebox Diner, an old-fashioned diner that claims to have a menu that offers the best of today and yesterday. If this sentiment is true, their peach cobbler, served with a scoop of ice cream, is sure to combine the delicious comfort of a familiar favorite with the delight of newly ripe peaches. 7039 Columbia Pike, Annandale; 8637 Sudley Rd., Manassas

If you prefer buzz over fuzz, try a peach-flavored alcoholic beverage, like Ted Bulletin’s Peach Pit drink. The signature cocktail features vodka, peach nectar, ginger, lemon, muddled mint, and ginger beer. The satisfying blend of sweet, fruity, and refreshing might turn this into your new favorite summer imbibement. Multiple locations

For a peach dessert with a twist, head over to the nostalgic family-favorite Silver Diner. Their peach praline pie jazzes up traditional peach pie with a decadent salted caramel drizzle. It’s served a la mode, aka with ice cream, aka just the way we like it. Multiple locations

This Arlington pie shop run by two local moms is serving up pies of all kinds, peach included. Taking advantage of in-season fruit, the current menu features a summer peach pie made with local peaches and a choice of a flaky or crumb top. To create the mouthwatering filling, the peaches are tossed with lemon juice, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cornstarch. But the star of the show might be the crust, which the bakers have perfected to be flaky, buttery, and divine. The menu also features a peach blackberry crumb pie that is sure to knock your socks off. 2166 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington

With peaches finally bursting into season, you can find an abundance of peach-flavored delights at local farms. At Brossman’s, there are currently peach options galore. Go classic with a peach pie, try something a little wackier with a peach-blueberry pie, or experiment with peach outside of the baked goods form — Brossman’s also offers peach yogurt, perfect for a sweet snack, and peach jam, your morning toast’s new best friend. They also sell peach pie filling for those who want to try their hand at making their own pies at home. And of course, Brossman’s also sells vanilla ice cream to pair perfectly with your peach creations. 14740 James Monroe Hwy., Lucketts
